Next Thursday, Dec. 7, is Rosary’s annual Christmas concert! Orchestra, choir, and songwriting classes have prepared their rendition of “White Christmas,” along with the songwriting class playing handbells and singing original Christmas songs.
Sarah Conley ‘27 has come into the songwriting class with incredible passion and talent, and she says
that the Christmas song project has been one of her favorites this year since she got to use her piano skills. Sarah shared, “My song is about the memories we had as little kids during Christmas and how fast they’ve gone by.” Sarah also states that her love for family and the Christmas season inspired her to write the song.
Sophie Lickl ‘27, Micaela Fonseca ‘27, Isabella Smith ‘27, and Alina Valencia ‘27 will also be sharing their amazing original song at the Christmas concert this year. Isabella reveals, “It’s not your typical jolly Christmas song.” The girls were inspired by the joy and love that can often comingle during Christmastime. Sophie comments, “I really enjoyed the collaboration and fun while writing this song.” Along with these two songs, you will hear beautiful pieces by Miabella Baeza ‘26, Molly Betance ‘26, Giselle Gomez ‘26, Sage Baumgartner ‘24, and myself!
Our teacher Dr. Frey Monnell has been by our side and made the concert as amazing as possible, even with this being her first-ever Rosary Christmas concert: “I never thought I would be teaching high school students again, but watching how the Rosary students have thrown themselves into being creative and how open they’ve been to correction, criticism, and help has made me really love this process. I am so excited to see how it all turns out!”
Well, you heard it here. The annual Christmas concert is bound to be a great success. We cannot wait to
see you all there.
