On April 5, our varsity and JV lacrosse teams played California High School at Hydraflow field. The Royals brought home yet another win, making their overall record 8-6.

Rosary’s 18-0 win was a great way for the lacrosse team seniors to celebrate their senior night. Team member Kensi Schley ‘26 describes how special this game was: “It was so nice to see all the seniors just having fun. Many of the seniors scored which made it even better. We worked really hard to try and make the seniors have the best night possible! Overall, it was a great game…and the score was pretty good too!”

Coach Lanctot is very pleased with the game’s outcome as well: “Yesterday was a fantastic way to celebrate our seniors. Five out of seven (seniors) were able to score. Our team plays exceptionally well and we’re starting to peak at the right time heading into Trinity League and hopefully finals”.

After the game the team celebrated a well-deserved senior night. Team captain Ava Acuna ’23 had a wonderful time both at the celebration and reflecting on her progress over the last four years: “We had an amazing time at senior night! From the speeches to the posters, the lower classmen did a phenomenal job commemorating the seniors. We all had a great time celebrating how far we’ve come not only as students but as athletes. The seniors on the lacrosse team are an essential aspect to the leadership dynamic we have on the field. We help the new players learn the fundamentals of lacrosse while also developing our own skill sets. While we’re sad we’ll be gone, we have faith that our younger teammates will carry the team far in upcoming years.

Please support our lacrosse team at their next game against Santa Margarita on April 18 at five o’clock at Santa Margarita.
