Next week is Thanksgiving, and that means it is time to feast and get together with those we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is all about the food. Overloading on all types of Thanksgiving food is a must.

Freshman Alyssa McCreary shares her favorite dish to eat on Thanksgiving: “My favorite food is green beans because they are so yummy. Every year my grandma knows to make them just for me.”

Everyone has different preferences when it comes to Thanksgiving dishes. For example, some people prefer gravy on both their turkey and mashed potatoes, but others do not.

Tatum Larson ‘23 states: “I like gravy because of the exquisite taste. I eat it with everything. I eat it with bread, mashed potatoes, and ham. Little confession, sometimes I mix it with my cream corn.”

Thanksgiving dessert is another big factor on this holiday. One of the most popular desserts is pumpkin, which many prefer with either whipped cream or cool whip, or even with nothing on it at all.

Senior Hannah Palos shares her favorite dessert to eat on Thanksgiving: “My favorite dessert is definitely apple pie. I love eating it warm with vanilla ice cream or cold too with whipped cream on top.”

Thanksgiving food is a fan favorite here at Rosary. Many people enjoy all the different items such as stuffing, sweet potatoes, bread rolls, pecan pie, and more. Another factor about Thanksgiving food is that everything goes together. For example, you can mix your corn with bread or even turkey and ham.

This year, do not be afraid to hold back on eating all the food you want. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to do so, so go eat.
