This Tues., May 12, we had our Recognition Assembly honoring all of the many accomplishments and hard work our Royals have poured into this school year. Various awards were given out involving sports, academics, extracurriculars and more. Individual students were recognized for their personal achievements as well as sports teams and different Rosary groups. The Royals have worn the Rosary name proud this year.
Many organizations such as PAL, yearbook, Royal Ambassador, Campus Ministry, club of the year: Model United Nations, ASB, Sisters of St. Joseph Youth Advisory Team, Trinitas and Chapman University Holocaust Writing contest winners, were recognized. Individual awards and recognition were also given, such as perfect attendance, best athlete, multi-sport athlete, best Royal Ambassador, teacher of the year and more.
Maliyah Collins ’28 won one of the top athlete awards and was overjoyed to receive it: “The award I got meant a lot to me because I wasn’t able to receive my award last year. I worked so hard this year, so I am so happy my hard work got rewarded and recognized.” Getting this award two years in a row is very impressive.

Another athletic award was given to junior Hayden Huerta who shared, “Being recognized at the assembly meant a lot. It shows that all the hard work I put in is paying off. It is a true honor.” It is truly an honor to be singled out for your hard work and dedication at Rosary.
The senior class also chose someone to gift their class mascot to: Basketball Coach Mr. Aragon. With much excitement, the seniors awarded him the plushie and cheered loudly as he walked up to receive it. Mr. Aragon said a few words and even referred to Rosary as his “family.” His speech warmed many hearts and showed why he deserved this amazing honor.
This assembly was a great opportunity for the school to come together for one of the last times this school year. After all the time, hard work and love poured into this school year, the Royals finally got to honor their work and celebrate their achievements.
