This week, it was time to celebrate seven seniors on their signing day. Rosary knows how huge this achievement is and how hardworking these seniors are. These seven seniors will go to different parts of the United States and continue their sport for the next four years. Signing day took place on April 21 at 7:45 a.m. in the Karcher Center. The students who were signing were in a long line of tables with a backdrop and a college sweater of where they will be going. All their friends and families came to support with a follow-up of thousands of photos.
Emily Diep ’26 is continuing her academic and soccer career at Vanguard University for the next four years. She is excited for this new chapter in her life while still staying local. She states, “I had the best time at signing day. I loved seeing all my friends come and support the other seniors and me. I can’t wait to continue soccer, something I have done my whole life. Super proud of the other seniors and good luck to those who will continue their athletic journey in college.”
Senior Kate Duarte is also headed to Vanguard University. She will continue her athletic career in volleyball. She says, “I can’t wait to continue volleyball through college. I’m so thankful to my coaches, teammates and all my friends and family for supporting me all these years and for continuing to support me in this sport I love so much. I can’t wait for these next four years.”
Kat McCown ’26 will be attending Hope International University and continuing cheer in college. She states, “I’m attending Hope International University. “It felt super surreal, sitting in that chair waiting and reflecting on how far I have come. Signing day definitely helped me understand that hard work really does pay off, and I am so excited to take my education and athletic career to the next level.”
