Spring break is finally here, and the Royals cannot wait to take this long-awaited break from school. The grind has been nonstop since students returned to school after the new year, so this long break is much needed. The students’ last day of school before break is April 1, and school doesn’t return until April 14. This time will be used for relaxation, fun and of course the celebration of Easter. Let’s hear exactly what the Royals plan on doing during this break.
With the sun out and the UV high, many students are planning on lying out and tanning during the break. MaryEllen Micalizzi ’29 shared, “I’m very excited to take a break from school and relax. I plan on going to my pool and tanning a lot. However, most of all, I am excited to go to the beach.” This week will have the perfect weather for beach trips.
During the break, a group of students is going on a school trip to Greece. This will be a great experience for them to see another part of the world and learn so many new things. Autry Lee ’28 is going on this trip and shared what she is most excited for: “During spring break, I am going to Greece, and I am super excited because going to Greece has always been a dream of mine. I am also excited to learn about all the history that has happened in Greece.” It sounds like the trip will be a fun and memorable learning experience.

Many Royals are planning on going on trips this spring break. Sophomore Emi Cantos shared, “This spring break, I’m going to the mountains with some friends, and we are going to spend quality time together and have so much fun.” Spring break is also a time to catch up on things you normally don’t have time to do with school in session. Emi also shared, “I plan on resting, catching up on my work and cleaning my room. I am also very excited to spend time with family and friends during Easter time.” Spring break is the perfect time to catch up with family and friends while celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
With senioritis going around, I’m sure the class of 2026 is excited for a week off. Addison Gutierrez ’26 shared her plans for spring break: “I am going to Arizona with some friends and family. I am most excited to get tan and relax.” With relaxation and sun, what more could you ask for?
The Royals are ready to have a fun time during this break. After we get back from break, the countdown to summer is officially on. Make sure to take this time to relax, catch up on sleep, and spend time with loved ones. What are you most excited about for this break?
