Spring sports have begun, and to celebrate all the hard-working girls, Rosary had their spring sports rally and shadow day on Wed., March 18. The spring sports include lacrosse, softball, swim, track and beach volleyball. These ladies have all been working super hard in the pre-seasons of their sports and have just begun their actual seasons. The rally kicked off by showing videos and introducing each spring sport team and team leaders.
Lacrosse has been doing great on the field this season. The team can regularly be found on Rosary’s field during practice and often have games at the Hydraflow field. Cora Lev ’28 shares about her goals this season: “My goals this season are to bond with my team.” Lacrosse has a game on March 23 against Irvine High School.
The swim team has also been working hard in the pool. They recently had a meet at Servite and made sure to put their best foot forward. Swim is ready to tackle this heat wave by jumping into the cool pool and practicing their strokes.
Softball has been out on the field and in the batting cages during practice to improve for their busy season. Sophomore Alyssa Avina talks about her experience this softball season: “I see a lot of improvement in the team, and I really enjoy our team and the sisterhood.” Their next game is March 20 against Bishop Montgomery.

Track and Field has been working hard during the first few weeks of their season. All the players have been doing great in their events, setting records and breaking PRs. Track has already had a busy season with meets almost every weekend and sometimes twice a week. Their next race is March 25 at University High School.
Beach Volleyball has been having game after game, and the team has been putting in the work to get even better. When asked about the team’s goals for this season Chuki Lhamo ‘29 shares, “My goals this season are to win the rest of my games and to make it to pair one.” If you want to come out and support, their next game is on March 24 against Irvine High School.
Overall, the spring rally was a success, showcasing each team’s players with their hype videos. The rally’s fun games, such as Wig Snatch, Head-Shoulders-Knees-Ball, and the return of Musical Chairs got the Royals in the spirit to support the teams in these final months of the school year. If you have time, come and support our teams on the sidelines!
