This Tuesday, March 17, the Royals had a Big and Little Sister split lunch with Adoration. This was a perfect opportunity for students to come together after a crazy Red & Gold weekend and bond with their upper and underclassmen sisters. The juniors and freshmen started with lunch, where tacos were served and each sister brought a dessert to share. The senior and sophomore classes went to Adoration to start and got to spend time with God and strengthen their faith. They then swapped and enjoyed spending more time with their sisters.
For underclassmen, this is a very special opportunity to bond with older girls and gain advice from those who have been through most of high school. This can also help girls feel more comfortable around campus when they see friendly faces they now know. Freshman Adyson Nguyen shared what she enjoyed about lunch and Adoration: “Having our Big and Little Sister lunch was so much fun, and I enjoyed talking with my big sister about the Red & Gold weekend and talking about everything we enjoyed! It was nice to go to adoration after and spend time with my friends worshiping and being in the presence of Christ!” This was a perfect way for many Royals to catch up after a fun and long Red & Gold weekend.
The senior class, I’m sure, is counting down the days for graduation, but is still feeling bittersweet because they have to leave some Rosary sisters behind. Anayra Reynoso ’26 shared why this time was so special for her: “Adoration at Rosary has always been so special to me, I really connect with God in those moments. It was great having awesome tacos with my sister afterwards, and I loved bonding with her more!”

During Adoration, students had the option of going to reconciliation as well as going up to the altar to be even closer to the presence of God. During this time of prayer, the Royals got to reflect on how they can become better children of Christ and remove the sin in their lives. This was a way to step back from the temptations in our lives and grow closer to God by following in his example.
Overall, this event was a great addition to our first week without Red & Gold. The time spent with our Rosary sisters will be cherished forever, especially being able to share in our faith with them. Sophomores, make sure to give your senior big sister a hug soon because they will be graduating in just a couple of months. Good luck with the rest of the school year, Royals!
