As the beloved Red & Gold performance approaches, it’s time for a fun little quiz to discover which captain you are. The categories consist of dance, drill, choral, drama, script, props, fashion, publicity, historians, media, stage tech and house manager. The 2026 captains were announced last year on Dec. 5, through a video from White Team. Since then, captains have been finalizing scripts, choreographing dances and drills, creating the costumes under a budget and designing hundreds of posters. Reese Rubly ’27 has been a historian captain for two years now and loves it. She says, “I am a Historian on Red Team this year. This is my second year as a captain; I was a Historian on Gold Team last year. I love how it allows me to work closely with my Rosary sisters to put together a show for our community. I enjoy being a captain a lot as I get to meet new people and work with them. I’m so excited and can’t wait to show everyone our production.” She has definitely put her time and effort into contributing to Red & Gold.
A Gold’s Props captain found her love for being behind the scenes. Junior Hope Wright states, “This is my second year being a props captain, my third year being in Props (currently a junior). I was never one to enjoy being on stage, so being in props was my way of helping out. Last year, I was a Red Props captain, and we won our category. I’ve really enjoyed meeting new people, imagining what the wooden props would look like when colored and bringing the show to life.” Sounds like Hope knows what she’s talking about when it comes to props for Red & Gold.
