Valentine’s Day is a day that many people look forward to during the first long, cold months of the year. Though this day is often seen as a time to spend with your significant other, many girls around campus love to spend time with their friends and host Galentines get-togethers. If you are wondering how to spend your Galentines, here are some fun and easy activities to do with your friends and make fantastic memories.
Baking and decorating a cake: If you want to do something artistic and delicious, baking mini cakes is a great way to build bonds with your friends. You can buy sprinkles, frosting and flowers to decorate your masterpieces. A delectable and crafty way to do something cute with your besties.
Going to the beach/take photos: While the weather may be a bit crisp, a great way to spend Valentine’s is going to the beach with your friends! A tasty beachside dinner pairs well with taking sunset photos on the beach and walking along the coastline with your favorite people.
Game night: A night full of fun has just begun when you whip out games like Twister and Clue. Putting your phones away and spending a good two hours just playing games with your friends is like a deep cleanse for the soul. So many inside jokes and countless laughs will be a result of your Galentines game night.
Movie night: Grab your popcorn and blankets as you get ready to watch the best movie marathon of all time. Featuring movies like “The Notebook” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” it’ll be hard not to end the night in some type of tears. However, watching movies and eating Valentine’s candy is a great way to spend your Galentine’s night.

Crafts: From bedazzling to making friendship bracelets, there are countless crafts to do at your Galentines party. Some ideas include making pipe cleaner flowers, bedazzling pocket mirrors, making bracelets and making pottery jewelry trays. These crafts are a spectacular way to make something cute and useful at your Galentines.
Pajama Party: A perfect sleepover will be complete with bouquet making for a fun hands-on activity. A pizza-making station is the thing to serve at a slumber party; heart-shaped pizzas are sure to be a hit. Finish the night by baking cookies or doing face masks. This Galentine’s party will be one to remember!
Some girls around campus describe their dream Galentine’s Day: Emma Muse ’26 describes a perfect day at a beach city, “My dream Galentine’s is waking up in a different city with my friends. I would go shopping, then go to the beach, go home, shower and end the night with a dinner.”
On the common theme of beaches, sophomore Emma Lugo shares that she would like a picnic at the beach: “I would like to have a picnic on the beach, then go back home, watch movies and have Italian food for dinner.”
