The time has finally come! After a long winter’s rest, Rosary and Servite’s Trinitas Arts Conservatory is back in session for “Mary Poppins the Musical”. Many students have been tirelessly working to make this Spring’s musical exceptionally entertaining. The musical will be performed in the Servite theater from May 1-9. As many people in the Servite and Rosary community begin to become excited about the musical, students have been putting in the hours after school and during the weekends to prepare.
Sami DiCrisi ’26 is Trinitas’ very own Mary Poppins! She cherishes her theater community and is beyond grateful for the opportunity to perform this year. When talking about the preparation for the musical Sami shares, “The whole process is something I cherish beyond belief, and I am incredibly lucky to have it.” It certainly seems like an amazing experience and community to be a part of. During the long rehearsal schedules the Trinitas program has become very close with one another creating lasting memories and friendships. Sami describes her experience with the theater community by saying, “You end up getting really close to these people because you really are with them nearly all the time and every day, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I would not be who I am without it.”

While there have been some difficulties learning the many songs different keys and managing the large amount of content in the show the cast and crew have been persevering. Sami explains, “Everyone seems really excited about putting it on, so we’re just charging forward.” What an excellent attitude! Paulina Contois ’27 shares the same concern with Sami but keeps a positive outlook when she states, “Some challenges we have been facing so far in the process of putting the show together are learning the music as well as harmonies. However, with much repetition we eventually get it, and it sounds amazing and continues to get better with every new day of rehearsal.” Not to worry though because the musical is sure to be a success thanks to Trinitas’ Executive Producer Mr. Betts. When describing Mr. Betts Paulina clarifies, “With every play and musical he works with many wonderful people so that everything from the set to the music, to tech and the actors is perfect.”
Junior and Trinitas member Rachel Swenson shares what she is excited about this year: “I am looking forward to seeing the full production, costumes, wigs, etc.” This seems to be a common theme throughout the theater community. A show’s costumes really complete the storytelling part of the musical. Rachel also shares that she will be playing the part of Miss Lark, a featured ensemble role.
Don’t forget to mark the date on your calendar and buy tickets to go see “Mary Poppins the Musical” at the Servite theater, May 1-9.
