Theatre programs have become integral in high schools around the United States, help many students to get involved and share their gifts with the world. Rosary and Servite’s award-winning theatre program, Trinitas Arts Conservatory, has become a wonderful way for students to make friends, to get involved in the school community, to learn more about theatre and to help them find themselves. Trinitas was formerly Tri-School Theatre, in which Rosary, Servite and Connelly students banded together to bring joy to the community. Led by Mr. Betts, the theatre program keeps Connelly’s memory alive through continuing to produce great shows.
This year, Trinitas is holding what they call their “Winter Cleaning Clothing Drive.” This drive helps not only the beneficiaries of the donated clothing, but also those donating, because this drive gives donors the ability to get items that they no longer want or need out of their houses. In his recent email to Rosary faculty and staff, Mr. Betts shared, “All donations are recycled and sent to residents of a developing country, and proceeds benefit Rosary’s Trinitas Theater Arts students and programs.” Regarding viable donations, Mr. Betts said, “We are collecting gently used clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, backpacks, towels, sheets, blankets and curtains, placed in large trash bags for convenient sorting.” All donations will be accepted until the end of school today, Friday, January 16.
For Rosary community members interested in contributing to the clothing drive, donations can be dropped off at the front gate near the school office. This drive is a great way to support the wider community, as well as the Trinitas community. This clothing drive is a simple project with a big impact, and it cannot happen without the support of the entire Rosary community. Bella Ambata ‘27 is a current Trinitas student who knows the importance of the drive and why all of her Rosary sisters should donate: “Trinitas’ clothing drive is such a great opportunity to support our theater arts program, as well as donate clothes to developing countries in need.” Ambata continued, “We are grateful to all the Rosary and Servite families who donated this year, and we hope next year is even more successful!”

Make sure to drop off any items either at Rosary or Servite by the end of the day today to make sure that they can be successfully donated. Remember, even a small donation can make a big impact, so this donation drive is a great way for all Royals to live out their charism: serving the dear neighbor without distinction.
