Rosary’s 23rd annual Red Wine & Gold will take place next Saturday, Jan. 17. This event will be hosted in the Karcher Center and is largely aided by students volunteering. Red Wine & Gold features many sponsors with a variety of food, wine and an auction, even featuring a dog!
One major goal of this event is to raise money for need-based tuition assistance for students at Rosary. It is a great opportunity to have fun while supporting students across campus. Although this event is focused on parents, students can show their support and participate through volunteering at the event. Claire Murphy ‘26 says, “I’ve only volunteered once, but it was literally the best time I think I’ve ever had! I did it last year, and it was just really nice talking to all of the people who went while also hanging out with some friends. The food was also so good. Even though I was working it, it was so much fun.” All the different foods definitely sound like a highlight of the night, and meeting new people can make the night special.

This event is co-chaired by Mrs. Becka Burke and Mrs. Laura Curtis, who welcome and appreciate all the volunteers who come out to support this lovely night. They have been busy organizing and preparing for this night, but they need students’ help to wrap auction items, set-up the event, attendee check-in, serve wine/beer and clean-up. Emma Ramirez ‘26 shared, “I’ve volunteered at Red Wine & Gold for the past two years because I love the energy of the event and being a part of a tradition that brings our school community together for a great cause.” Volunteering is the best way to fully experience this event and interact with different students and families in the Rosary community!
Whether you helped donate an item to the drive or plan on volunteering, there are several ways to show your support. If you have not signed up yet, check the Royal Review for sign-up information or contact one of the co-chairs for more questions.
