The Mother Daughter Christmas Brunch is finally here. It is this Sunday, Dec. 7, and many Royals are waiting with anticipation for this event. Every year, the Royals and their moms have the best time and make memories that last. This is always such a magical event and a special time to create new bonds and strengthen the old ones. Each year the room is filled with holiday decor, music, lots of food and even boutique vendors where you can find the perfect Christmas gifts. If this is your first-year attending, you might be wondering what usually happens or what is usually worn at this event. Kristen Lawerence ’94, mother of Kaitlin Lawerence ’28 and Senior Madeline Lawerence, shared, “Last year I wore a long skirt and a black top but this year I am planning on wearing a dress. I love how I got to spend the day with my daughters.” With everyone’s busy schedules, this will be the perfect opportunity to relax and spend time with your loved ones.
As for the girls, if you are wondering what to wear, Sophomore Melissa Lopez shared some outfit inspiration: “I wore a green dress with flowers last year. This year I do not have an outfit yet, but I am planning on wearing some sort of dress. The brunch was also so fun, and I loved getting to spend some quality time with my mom.”
Last year, when I attended this event, I wore a black dress with tennis shoes. However, every time I go to a fancy event my mom always tries to get me to wear heels. Sometimes she wins, but for this event I am hoping I do. So, you will most likely see a mix of types of shoes on Sunday, it is ultimately up to you.
