As the weather starts to get colder and colorful lights start to appear, the winter season has officially begun. On Wednesday, Dec 3, Rosary had its winter rally. This was a moment to highlight the winter and year-round sports: soccer, basketball, water polo, wrestling, triathlon, dance and cheer. Each team gets its own time to play a video showing what their team is all about, and letting their peers know when their next game or competition is. Surprisingly, no one lost their voice because the Royals were screaming their hearts out for the whole rally.
On Wednesday, Rosary held a shadow day where middle school students got to spend a day with a Royal. This was an exciting day for prospective students to come and learn about the school. They had the opportunity to participate in the rally with a fun game.
Dance teams, varsity and JV, also performed during the rally. Sophomore Kaitlin Lawrence shares her experience performing her competition routine for the first time in front of her peers. “That was truly another amazing experience on the dance team. I feel that the adrenaline rush pushed my dancing to the next level. Having my peers in front of me felt scary at first, but I know that it is great preparation for competition.” Cheer also put on an amazing performance at the rally. They performed part of their game-day routine.
One student in the audience, Ruby Leon ’26, expresses how much fun she had at the exciting rally: “It was such a fun winter rally! My favorite part was watching my dance and cheer friends perform.” Water polo player Aubree Gutierrez ’28 exclaims her time during the rally and water polo, “I really enjoyed the rally and watching the water polo video. I can’t wait for this season and everything we will accomplish this season.” Can’t wait to see water polo shine this season.
And lastly, the senior class took the spirit stick once again. Congratulations to the seniors! The spring sports rally will be on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. It is not for a few months, but our Royals are very eager for all the loud screaming and cheering.
