This past Monday marked a day that many sophomores have looked forward to since the beginning of the school year. Rosary and Servite students joined each other for a day of fun as they went to Mass and participated in a bowling adventure. The day started off in the Karcher Center at Rosary with boys and girls being separated into groups to have a short talk and small group discussion about relationships. The students then went to the St. Juliana’s Church to have a special Mass before finishing their talk about relationships in the Karcher Center. The students listened to talks from Mr. Yokoyama, Mrs. LeClair and Mr. Ronan about relationships.
The day continued after the boys and girls shared a delicious meal of TK burger. They were loaded onto their buses and off to Bowlero. The students had an amazing time bowling and spending time with each other. Between the arcade, pool tables and bowling lanes, there were so many fun things to do. This experience was truly a great way for Rosary and Servite students to get to know each other better and form lifelong memories. Events like these build strong relationships between the students at Rosary and Servite.

When reflecting on her experience at the retreat, Noemi Jimenez ’28 shares, “Something that has stuck out to me at retreats is that our faith is always involved in a fun, new way. I always love the retreats because it’s a way to get closer to my class.” This is so true! The Mass that was implemented into the retreat schedule was a great way to starts off both the day and week. Faith is the firm foundation of both the brother and sister school, so it was clever to include it in such a fun event.
Another sophomore student, Katie Kimble shared what she thinks: “I definitely think that Rosary and Servite should have more retreats together to promote our sisterhood and brotherhood and because it’s always a fun experience to meet to people.” What a great idea!
Rosary and Servite should definitely continue hosting events like this one for all grade levels. Getting to hang out with students from each other’s schools seems to be very popular among the Rosary and Servite students, and the schools are doing a great job of fostering that. If you have any suggestions for events with Servite leave a comment.
