It’s time to spread kindness around Rosary Academy! This Friday, Nov. 14, Rosary will be acknowledging the importance of being kind to others in a day called “Blue the School.” Every year, the Royals in PAL decorate the school with blue posters, blue markers on bathroom mirrors and kind chalk messages. Inspire Kindness, the organization that promotes Blue the School, invites schools and communities around the world to celebrate the importance of being kind and respectful to your peers.
Students, faculty and staff members can wear blue this Friday. Royals can wear blue jeans or a uniform skirt with an appropriate blue top. Reminder to seniors: you can’t wear leggings—only jeans.
Assistant Principal of Student Services and PAL Moderator, Mrs. Huerta ’94, shares her insight about this exciting day: “Blue the School to remind anyone about the importance of spreading kindness. Kindness is how we live our faith in action—when we lift one another in sisterhood and love, we reflect Christ’s heart and make our community stronger. Join in on the activities PAL has planned for you this week and wear blue this Friday!” Enjoy a nice day off from wearing a uniform for free.
Senior Tahlia Jain shares what she loves about Blue the School and what PAL has been doing the past couple of weeks: “PAL has been working hard the past few weeks for Blue the School; we’ve made tons of posters, discussed FLEX activities, and collected a bunch of decorations for the bathrooms so we can decorate Red-and-Gold-style! Blue the School is so important; it reminds us to make a conscious effort to spread kindness every day to anyone and everyone! Remember to deck out in blue on Friday.” Friday is going to be such a fun day.

The color blue resembles kindness and compassion that correspond with trust and loyalty. This Friday is a day to remember how important kindness is in this world. Not only is this Friday a day to spread kindness, but each day on this earth is a day to show kindness.
We can’t wait to see these Royals decked out in blue!
