The All-Souls Day Mass was held on Nov. 5, in the Karcher Center. It was a beautiful Mass where the entire student body came together to remember the faithful departed. This year, All Souls Day happened on Sunday, Nov. 2. The Mass was filled with prayer and worship, honoring those who have passed. This was a great way for the Rosary community to praise God and be thankful for all we are blessed with.
At the start of Mass Mrs. O’Campo ’02, the Executive Director of Advancement, spoke about All Souls’ Day in her call to worship, “All Souls Day is a sacred time in our Church when we pause to give thanks for those who have died and to pray for their eternal rest. It is a day of both remembrance and hope – a day when grief meets faith, and loss is transformed by love. All Souls Day reminds us that our connection with those we love does not end with death. We remain united with them through prayer, the Eucharist, and hope of eternal life.”
Fr. Ian also gave an inspiring Homily, and the Rosary Choir sang lovely songs. Cora Lev ’28 shared what she enjoyed about Mass, “It was very peaceful; I loved honoring those who passed. The homily was enjoyable to listen to, and I loved participating in worship.” It was amazing to see the Rosary community come together in worship and pray over their loved ones whom they have lost.
As the first semester of this school year is coming to an end, seniors are taking in their last Masses at Rosary and making them special. The class of ’26 can agree that it is important not to take these times for granted because it is very meaningful to be in a place of worship with their classmates. Ayiah Soufi ’26 shared, “I loved Mass today, and I enjoyed being able to worship with my friends.” As emphasized during the All-Souls Day Mass, it is very important to be grateful for everything God has blessed us with.

This Mass wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing help of Campus Ministry. They left class early to set up the service, read scripture, altar served, were Eucharistic Ministers, and even stayed after the Mass to help clean up. The Royals are very grateful to have such a helpful Campus Ministry.
After the Mass, the Lauri Chiaretta Memorial Scholarship was given to a student who always shows outstanding qualities of character, values, and concern for others. This scholarship was awarded to Sasha Bella Regalado ’26.
Overall, the All-Souls Day Mass was a very impactful service that left the Royals feeling very blessed. Celebrating All Souls Day teaches us to have hope and always remain faithful in God. This was an amazing opportunity for the Royals to come together to honor the faithful departed, and it was a reminder to be grateful for everything we have in our lives.
