Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat. I think all Royals can agree that not every kind of Halloween candy is good to eat or pass out. Each candy can say something different about that house giving it out. Let’s see what Rosary teachers and girls think about Halloween candy (and no, you’re not too old to get free candy this year).
Starting off strong, Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. Jenkins both agree that sour candy is the way to go. Mrs. Hunt says, “I always insist on having Sour Patch Kids to hand out! They are my favorite!” Lots of people love getting sour candy on Halloween. For example, Mrs. Jenkins shared, “My daughter and I both love sour candy! Sour Patch Kids are always a hit.” Well, good news: I heard the Hunt house will be passing some sour candy out this year! Hopefully, more houses will get the sour candy memo.

Of course, we all know that there are a few houses that can be skipped because their candy is just, well, not it. When asked about what candy is and is not okay to hand out, Mrs. Jenkins responded saying, “We love to hand out quality candy that tend to be crowd favorites: Hersey’s, Skittles, etc. We think handing out Tootsie Rolls is just evil, so we would never!” I agree; I never look forward to a handful of Tootsie Rolls.
On the other hand, senior Addi Sciarra can identify a good Halloween house by their candy: “If someone is handing out peanut butter M&Ms, they are a cool person.” In my opinion, you can never go wrong with handing out M&Ms or any chocolate for that matter. My personal favorite is Reese’s!

The candy you hand out can determine a lot about you. Does your house hand out chocolate, Halloween-shaped pretzels or nothing at all? Comment what your favorite (or least favorite) candy is to get on Halloween!

Personally, I am not the biggest fan of candy, but chocolate is good sometimes.
