Living in Southern California definitely has its perks: the beach, the mountains, Disneyland, Los Angeles, and so much more. However, one perk we for sure don’t have is a change in seasons. While technically it’s still summer, we’re literally in September and we’re reaching triple-digit temperatures!
Now, when at school, these types of temperatures can be uncomfortable. So, I have come up with 10 solutions for Royals:
- Chick-fil-a fans. The water-spraying fans that keep the employees cool should also be installed around campus to keep Royals cool.
- A tanning deck. The sun is way too strong for us not to be tanning.
- Ice cream at every lunch. Joe’s Italian Ice, Kona Ice, Yogurtland, all of the above.
- Complete remodel of the lawn. I say we build a water park and a giant lazy river.
- Movies every lunch. Each teacher should play a different movie each lunch in their rooms so it’s like a giant movie theater for Royals.
- Nap time. Not sure how this helps with the heat, but it’s something I’m very passionate about.
- New uniforms. We can keep the skirts, but maybe add a t-shirt or tank top uniform shirts to the list (2 fingers width, of course).
- Hybrid classes. I say we split the classes and we do some of them at home and some of them here.
- Starbucks. We should definitely build a Starbucks on campus, so Royals have the option of buying their iced drinks to stay cool, which will help with tardy rates!
- Shuttles. Let’s use the shuttles for a shuttle service to the beach after school cause it’s just way too hot not to be at the beach.
Now, you never know, but maybe admin will take this list into account, so don’t be surprised if you see major construction going down on the lawn next week. In the meantime, stay cool and hydrated Royals!

All great ideas! Love them all, but my favorite will be the lazy river. Starbucks is an easy one, let’s make it happen! ☀️️
