The night before senior sunrise, many members of the Class of 2025 worked tirelessly to decorate their cars, knowing that one day, someone would be brave enough to rate their designs. And lucky for them, that day has come!
First, for a classic example of a senior sunrise whip, let’s look at Kate Piper’s ’25 car design. With bold red and yellow letters and a crown ending her exclamation mark, Kate’s car epitomizes Rosary pride. However, while I can appreciate how unashamedly Royal it is, Kate could’ve added a little more to her design to make it really pop. Thus, prideful but a bit simplistic, I give Kate’s senior sunrise car a 7/10.
Next, let’s shift our attention to Elizabeth Larson’s ’25 legendary three-sided design. Decked out with interactive and comedic lines, Elizabeth’s Ford Bronco sport has, “Honk if u love seniors!!” and “Reminder: Graduate May 23rd” written on the back and side of her car. That said, I give Elizabeth’s senior sunrise design an 8/10 based on its neatness, cutesy designs, and humor.
Another promising contestant in my cut-throat ranking is Jazzy Sandoval ‘25. After laying eyes on Jazzy’s senior sunrise car, the Pinterest-esque design on her black Jeep Wrangler immediately transported me to the fantastical world of Eva Gutowski’s “Literally, My Life,” where life was “beaches every single night messy buns and Christmas lights.” Therefore, it is aesthetic and nostalgia-inducing; I give Jazzy’s design a 7/10!
Finally, on the top of the pyramid is Isabella Contreras’s ’25 senior sunrise car with a whopping 9/10. Not only did she go above and beyond and decorate all three sides of her car, but her masterful calligraphy and SpongeBob references are divine. I mean, what else can I say except, “Spectacular. Give me 14 of them right now!”
Despite my ratings, the Class of 2025’s senior sunrise cars were all amazing, and I commend the seniors for their hard work.
