Movies to go with your pumpkin spice

Andrea Salazar, Staff Writer

With Halloween fast approaching, I think we should start talking about some of the best movies for fall. Nothing can set the spooky mood more than the perfect movie can.

  • “Hocus Pocus” (1993)

This movie will always be one of my personal favorites. It’s cute, a classic, and will always give a good laugh. The movie is about an iconic group of witches who chase a teenager who has taken their book of spells. You can watch it on Disney+.

  • “Ghostbusters” (1984)

If you haven’t seen this movie, you have to be living under a rock. It focuses on a group of friends in New York, hunting ghosts and having fun. You can view it on Hulu.

  • “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993)

Though many can debate over whether it’s a Christmas or Halloween classic, it’s no doubt a favorite of many. This cult classic by Tim Burton is now available to watch on Disney+.

  • “The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” (1996 )

This one is undoubtedly one of the most wholesome Halloween movies you can ever watch. “Charlie Brown” is always a comfy and safe option when you don’t want to be jump scared. Apple TV is where you can find this film.

  • “Beetlejuice” (1988)

Another well known Tim Burton classic, this is a movie everyone can enjoy. It’s about an old couple haunting their old home. It is available on HBO max, Spectrum TV, Prime Video, and more.

I hope you take some of these recommendations into account as you snuggle up with your pumpkin spiced flavored treats in hand and light that new candle you just bought specifically for these types of evenings.
