The brain busting question has been asked many times: Who is the best Disney princess? We all have our favorites, but I am here to explore another difficult Disney question: Who is the best Disney prince?

Hopefully, this article will help you decide which Disney character is overall the perfect prince.

To help with the decision, this question will be primarily based on character development–how does the prince change his ways throughout the movie to become a better person?

Sophia Kondo ‘22, a huge Disney fan and the President of the Royal Mouseketeers Club stated, “I definitely have to say Flynn Rider. From the beginning he is a hilarious, sarcastic, and lovable character that you can tell has a genuinely good heart. His character transformation from being a rogue thief to selfless prince is defined by (to quote him) him finding his new dream in Rapunzel which is really touching and sweet.”

Katie Thomas ‘22 expressed her opinion on some of the Disney princes, “In my opinion, the fact that Prince Philip marries for love in the 1300’s is really sweet to me. But if we are going based on character development, it’s between Prince Naveen and Flynn Rider. Both become equally caring and loving over the course of their movie and are equally as hot.”

However, senior Lauren Cottrell ’22 thinks both of the above princes pale in comparison to “Kristoff from ‘Frozen’. He’s humble, down to earth and hilarious. Flynn Rider is oh my gosh…he’s just a flirt.  He’s got to go.”

Anna DiCrisi ’22, explained her controversial opinion, “I have a stuffed animal of Nick Wilde, the fox from ‘Zootopia,’ that I sleep with every night. Nick Wilde is endlessly charming, has great character development and is obviously better than any Disney prince even though he’s a fox.”

Ms. Barclay put her two cents in, “This article is ridiculous, and I’m not sure how it slipped past me for approval. But I will say that one guy from ‘The Little Mermaid’… what’s his name?… Eric? Eric, right, he’s good.”

Mrs. Mattos, the ASL teacher at Rosary Academy, who is also a big fan of Disney states, “I would say Prince Adam from Beauty and the Beast. As the story progresses, he struggles with the idea’s of compassion, mercy and love. At the end of the story, he finally has a grasp of what love is.”

Comment down below if you agree or disagree with any of these statements. Overall, Disney has made a batch of Disney princes with different personalities and characters that will forever live within the hearts of every Disney fan.
