Food is one of the many spices of life. Whether it’s a mouthwatering burger or a delicious salad, a good meal makes people happy and brings them together. Many Royals enjoy eating meals with their friends and families and shared their favorite places to grab a bite.

Megan Mendonca’ 23 said her favorite restaurant is The Old Spaghetti Factory. The Old Spaghetti Factory serves delicious Italian dishes such as fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken parmesan. “My favorite dish to get is the spaghetti with meatballs. It’s super good and is actually one of my all-time favorite foods,” Megan said. She added, “I like going there because it’s been a special family tradition to go there every year for my birthday ever since I was a little girl.”

Sarah Badawi’22 said one of her favorite restaurants is Din Tai Fung, which serves delicious Taiwanese food such as dumplings and buns, noodle soups, and rice cakes. “My favorite dish to order is either the Hot and Sour Soup or the Noodles with Sesame Sauce. I also love sharing the Kurobuta Pork Buns with my family,” Sarah shared. Sarah’s favorite part about eating at Din Tai Fung is the diverse menu with a variety of delicious dishes to choose from: “I haven’t gone to Din Tai Fung and eaten the same food twice. Everything is appetizing so I order different dishes whenever I go. My next meal there will probably be the Braised Beef Noodle Soup.”

Senior Grace Fairchild’s favorite restaurant is Islands, which offers delicious American food with a tropical twist. Some of the most popular dishes at Islands are the Big Wave Burger, Northshore Fish Tacos, and the classic Fresh Cut Island Fries. Grace’s favorite food to order at Islands is the Longboarder Burger. With Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, pickles, onions, and tomato, the Longboarder sounds like a great choice for lunch or dinner. Grace loves going to Islands and shared why the restaurant is special to her: “My family and I go there so often that we know the workers, and it’s nice to connect with everyone when we go.”
