On April 17, 2024, the Rosary athletes had their spring signing day. This signing day was in honor of three seniors: Milan Smith, Lainey Goldstein, and Julia Watson. These seniors are beyond talented and have all committed to D1 colleges!
Julia Watson ‘24 is going to the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas! Julia has been a four year multi-sport varsity athlete playing for the Rosary Soccer and Triathlon teams. She has made a huge contribution to both teams and her teammates will miss her dearly. Julia shares, “One of my favorite parts of being at Rosary was being on these teams. I met my best friends and got to bond with them over the sports I love. I will forever be Rosary Soccer and Triathlon’s biggest fan! I am going to miss it so much.”
Milan Smith ‘24 is going to United States Military Academy West Point in West Point, New York. Milan has been a part of Rosary’s Varsity Track and Field Team for all four years of high school. She runs the 100m, 100m hurdles, 200m and is the first leg of the 4x100m relay. Milan has been one of the track teams top runners. Milan says, “I have loved being a part of the track during my years in High School. I am so proud of everything we have accomplished this season so far and I can’t wait to see what more we accomplish in the upcoming meets.”
Lainey Goldstein ‘24 is going to George Washington University in Washington D.C. Lainey has also been a part of Rosary’s Varsity Track and Field Team during her four years in high school. She runs the 400m, 200m and 4x400m. Lainey describes, “The team at Rosary and track has become a major and important part of my life. We have made so many good memories together, and it’s going to be hard to find a team like this one again”
These three amazing athletes are going to shine at their new colleges. We cannot wait to see all that they achieve in their new lives ahead!
