Are you tired of spending so much money on trending makeup products or so desperately wanting a certain makeup product that everyone else has, but it’s clearly of your budget? If so, this is the perfect place for you. Although it may be nice to have new and trendy makeup products, there are “dupes” out there for these products which they work just the same for a reasonable price.

I’m sure most of you know what a dupe is, but if you don’t, a dupe is a product that is similar to a higher end one, but it is sold for a cheaper price. Continue reading to see what makeup dupes you could be adding to your makeup routine…

First off, let’s start with a fan favorite. Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops. As a proud owner of this products, I only have positive feedback. It saves my pale winter face when I am in desperate need of a glowy, bronzy summer look. It stays on for the entire day; therefore, it keeps you looking glowy 24/7. Although this product works like absolute magic, there is one downsidethe price. This small, 30 mL bottle costs $36. After I bought this product, my bank account was in permanent damage. Don’t worry though, L’Oréal has saved us with their dupe of this overpriced product. Instead of the Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops, try the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion instead. Although I own the Drunk Elephant product, I am also a proud owner of L’Oréal’s bronzing drops as well. Not only does the product apply the same and give the exact same bronzed look on your face, but the Lumi Glotion has three different shades of glow to choose from. It is accessible for all skin types and sold at a price of $12.99. Talk about an absolute steal.

Next, let’s talk brows. If your brows are falling out of place constantly, you are in desperate need of a strong brow gel that’ll hold them right into place all day. I’m sure we’ve all seen popular Tik Tok makeup gurus use the makeup brand Anastasia. One of their most popular products is the Brow Freeze gel. Although this product may hold your brows better than glue itself, $23 seems like quite a bit for a small, circular package (photographed below). If you do own this product, were thinking about buying this product, or even in need of a brow gel, I suggest you take a look at the Soap Brow gel from Elf Cosmetics. It is the exact same packaging and has the same usage and applicator, but the best partit is only $6. If this isn’t convincing enough, check out Utah’s Tik Tok sensation, @hallesoswag. She uses this product in her get ready with me videos. Go check out her account if you’re not yet convinced on this brow product.

Finally, the last product we must discussthe Dior lip oil. Right when you hear Dior, you know this product is going to be expensive. But what makes this $38 lip oil so appealing to everyone? Frankie McGuire ’23 shared, “This lip oil is my saving grace. I never leave the house without it. The applicator is so smooth and it applies so gently to my lips. It leaves my lips looking plump, smooth, and extremely glossy.” I get it. Having the most perfect lip gloss is essential for a teenage girl’s daily life as well as completing the perfect makeup look; however, if you cannot afford an almost forty dollar product, do not fear. Run to Amazon right now and search “Dior lip oil dupe.” Right in front of you, you will see a lip oil with packaging almost identical to the Dior one for only $9.99. That means you could get four lip glosses, just like the Dior one, for the price of one of them.

Why waste money on expensive makeup products? Dupes are in, and if anything, sometimes they are even better than the original. Having the perfect makeup routine is essential. Maybe one of these dupes could be a part of it? You never know.
