As fall sports seasons are ending, the season of Senior Nights is beginning. This Monday, flag football hosted Senior Night for their eight seniors: Ella Baroldi, Hannah Kelly, Carol Reyna-Jackson, Dani Gonzalez, Brooke Sellinger, Bella Vallejo, Brigid LeVecke and Sophie Figueroa. Senior Night celebrated each senior with their own posters, crowns and speeches by underclassmen. It was an excellent night for seniors to say farewell and celebrate with friends and family.

Brigid LeVecke has been playing flag football since the inaugural season in her sophomore year. She shares, “My favorite part of the season was being able to grow super close with my teammates and doing our best. Although we faced many challenges throughout our season, we always had each other’s backs to help each other. There is nothing that can compare to our team chemistry because it is that strong. I love our team and the family we have made together. That was the best part of my season! Much love to my team!” Brigid will definitely be missed on the team, but she created a lot of great memories throughout her time playing.
A few underclassmen were chosen to give speeches for the graduating seniors. Chloe Ryan ‘27 was able to give Brigid’s speech and shared, “During flag’s Senior Night, it was a really emotional day for me because I truly love each one of the seniors like they’re my family. The game might not have ended the way we wanted, but I know each girl played their heart out!” Despite the outcome, they were all able to spend another game with each other and enjoy the end of the season.

Another senior, Carol, shared that, “Senior Night was so much fun, and it was so nice seeing everyone come out to support our team! I had a lot of fun this season and I’m really going to miss my teammates, but I’m glad we had a really fun last home game.” It was fun to see all the seniors be celebrated and take pictures with their posters and their baby pictures. Another junior, Isabella Smith, says, “I loved seeing all the girls celebrating the seniors. We shared a lot of love, and I can’t wait to see what they do next year.”

The flag football Senior Night was one to be remembered and celebrated all the seniors before they finish off the season. Although it’s still early in the school year, these seniors are ready for what’s next. As Senior Nights continue throughout the year, make sure to show up and support your senior sisters!
