On Monday, Oct. 20, Rosary is hosting a college financial aid night in the Assembly Hall at 6:30 p.m. This is a joint event with Servite, and it will feature Chapman University’s Director of Undergraduate Financial Aid, David Carnevale. The night aims to “provide an overview of the college financial aid process and how you can help determine the affordability of your student’s college options,” according to this week’s Royal Review. This is a great opportunity to get a better understanding of how college financial aid can affect your ability to attend different colleges on your list.
To understand how financial aid night supports students, Academic and College Counselor Mrs. Lee shared, “One of the things I have been consistently saying about financial aid night is that is helpful for everybody. Since the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’ was signed into law, it has greatly impacted student federal aid (and particularly loans). Due to these changes in legislation, I think it is even more important to go and understand how that affects our families and their potential financial aid awards. Plus, David Carnevale is a great speaker, and he does a pretty comprehensive overview of the two main financial aid applications, FAFSA and the CSS profile.”

Since financial aid can be a very important factor for families when considering colleges, the college financial aid night would be the perfect way to set yourself up for success by understanding the ins and outs of how the process works. If you plan on attending the college financial aid night, be sure to RSVP using this link. We hope to see you there!
