Rosary Day is Friday, Oct. 3. As Rosary celebrates the juniors becoming upperclassmen, the student body will enjoy a mass to commemorate the junior class, followed by a day at Disneyland.
For many, it can be easy to overlook what may seem like insignificant items for a day at Disney, which is why I’ve compiled a list of Disney non-negotiables to help you prepare for the best day.
Senior Julia Morales testifies to the heat and struggle of Disney, “It gets so hot at Disney, I’m excited for Rosary day, but I definitely have to bring a few things.”
1. Handheld fan
When I tell you the heat can be unbearable, I mean it. Bringing a fan to share with friends is essential if you tend to overheat easily.
2. Sunscreen
Walking around a hot, sunny amusement park is the best way to get a sunburn. Bring a sunstick or spray to avoid a painful ride home.
3. Small backpack
Carrying your phone, money, jacket, and food in hand through all the Disney chaos is horrendous; it’s easy to lose track of your things. When you have to leave everything on the floor once you get on a ride. Be sure to bring a small backpack.

4. Portable charger
A full day of pictures and directions, someone’s phone is bound to be low on battery, which can be especially stressful, especially when you separate from friends. Buying a portable charger at the park is also outrageously expensive ($38).
5. Download the Disneyland app
The Disneyland app is a must-have if you want a smooth-sailing Disney day. On it, you can order food, preview wait times on your favorite lines, and find out where and when the shows are.
6. Bring a waterbottle
There are refill stations throughout Disney, so be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Just be sure that your bottle is not glass.
8. Download games
The lines can be super long, downloading “Heads Up” and playing in line with your friends can help the time pass and make for a lot of laughs.
Senior Ava Graham gave her advice on Disney, “Have fun and make the best of it! I’m a bit sad it’s my last time attending as an active Royal, but it’ll be so fun.”
We wish the junior class all the best this Rosary Day, congratulations!
