This Friday, Sept. 19, Rosary will be hosting a flu clinic. The clinic is run through Albertson’s Pharmacy, and it will be located in the Conference Room from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Parents can register their daughters via this link. Registering early is important so parents can make sure their insurance will cover any vaccine. The Royal Review reads, “This is completely optional and intended to provide a convenient service to those interested in receiving their vaccine. Most insurance companies cover the cost of flu shots. If you register early, Albertson’s Pharmacy can run a claim to see if your daughter’s vaccine would be covered.”

The clinic offers several vaccines and immunizations, including flu vaccines, Meningitis, MMR and other compliance vaccines. Rosary’s school nurse, Ms. Doyle ‘02, recommends considering the flu vaccine: “I know a lot of people think getting the flu shot is no big deal and not really needed. But I promise you, it is worth it. The flu shot helps keep YOU healthy. The flu can hit hard, no matter your age or current health status. Getting a flu shot lowers your chances of getting seriously sick…The flu spreads pretty quickly, so if you were to get it, you can easily spread it to your family, friends, classmates, and people around you who may be more vulnerable to illness. Getting the flu shot is a small thing you can do to help protect others and yourself.” The convenience of having the shot available at Rosary makes it a great option for families looking to vaccinate their daughters.
