Two weeks before the big game, the Royals held a four-hour clinic in the Karcher Center for the kids to learn the dance, meet new friends and enjoy their time at Rosary. Each girl received a t-shirt, a Servite bow and gold pom-poms.
Autry Lee ’28 shared her experience from the clinic, “My experience was really good, and the clinic was super fun! My favorite part was mentoring a bunch of kids. I really enjoyed the whole clinic overall, and I am super excited to do it again next year!”
After arriving at the game at 4:45 p.m., eating dinner in the parking lot and practicing the performance, five minutes before the second quarter ended, the kids headed down to the field while the cheer and dance teams helped the girls into their formation. The halftime performance was a success. Everyone had the best time and enjoyed every minute. People from the audience gave the dance and cheer girls great feedback on their performance.
Cheerleader Madison Summerfield ’29 had the best time at this clinic, “My experience with the cheer and dance clinic was so much fun! I was with the middle-aged group, and they were a lot of fun and a delight to be around. Seeing them add their own little pizazz to the routine made me laugh so hard. They are just so adorable. The actual performance day was a lot of fun! Seeing all the girls’ smiles as they lined up to perform was such a blessing. My favorite part, though, was cheering on the sidelines and looking up and seeing these little girls shaking their poms, cheering along with us.”
Dance team member MaryEllen Micalizzi ’29 shares her opinion about the clinic: “The dance clinic was so fun. The girls learned dances and got to perform. I loved dancing and having fun with these girls who are such great dancers.”

The performance went great. Future royals enjoyed every minute of it. Next year, the Royals will host a three-day summer dance camp and another cheer and dance football clinic. We’re excited to see the next performances next year in 2026!
