This upcoming weekend, our Royals and Friars get ready to test. On Saturday, Sept. 6, Rosary is hosting a Mock SAT and ACT testing day. All Rosary students, especially sophomores and juniors, are encouraged to take either a mock ACT or SAT to figure out which test is the best fit for them while also getting practice to take the real exam in their junior or senior year.
Servite Sophomore Logan Vaughan shares, “I am looking forward to taking the Mock SAT to get a good idea of what I need to work on for the real thing next year. I’m using the website March2Success to study so I can get the best score possible.” Thanks for the study tip, Logan!
Starting at 9 a.m., the mock tests will begin, so make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in and get situated in your designated classroom.
It is recommended to bring three No.2 pencils (for scratch work), a working eraser, a calculator and a fully charged laptop for both exams. Both the SAT and ACT are fully digital, so bringing a working laptop is extremely important on your test day. For the exam, students must install the Bluebook digital testing app on their laptop; an email sent out by Mrs. Hunt explains how to download the application with a direct link to the Bluebook site: “I need each of you to take a moment and be sure your laptop is current with your Bluebook digital testing app. Some of you will need this app for the standardized testing in October. And some of you (most AP students) will need this for your AP Exams in May.”

It is also important to bring water and snacks for the break time given in the middle of the test. Cell phones, smart watches, or other electronic devices must be completely turned off and put away during the exam, including the break time. If a student is caught with a device, their test will be scratched, and repercussions will be given appropriately.
Students are able to wear comfortable clothing; however, make sure what you are wearing is appropriate for your environment (no pajamas, exposing shorts or shirts and no inappropriate messages).
As a reminder, the test is taking place at Rosary Academy at 9 a.m., so show up on time and ready to test. Good luck, Royals; test hard!
