The new school year means many new faces on campus. Among our new staff members is the wonderful Mrs. Tracy! She teaches English III, Honors English III and AP Lit. Keep reading to learn more about Mrs. Tracy.
Where did you go to college? What did you get your degree in?
I got my bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, and I majored in English.
How many years have you been teaching?
This year is my twenty-eighth year of teaching.
Why do you like teaching English?
I enjoy teaching English because I love talking with my students about their thoughts, feelings, and interpretations of the literature we are reading.
What is your favorite book or genre?
I like a lot of dystopian novels like “Brave New World” and “1984.”
What is your favorite book to teach?
One of my favorite books to teach is “Frankenstein” because it brings up some interesting reactions and debates.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have three cats—two girls, who are sisters, and a boy.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to spend time with my family, go to concerts, and watch TV.
Is there anything you are excited to learn about or experience at Rosary?
I am excited to learn about the Red and Gold performances and the overall experience.
What is an unexpected fun fact about yourself?
I used to play guitar and sing in an alternative band.
