Royals are ready to listen to all the new music coming out soon.

If you’re like me, then you always need music playing in the background or something to listen to while doing your homework. Since we have started the new school year, it is time to reopen my playlists while I do my homework. Recently, I have added some new songs and am anticipating a few new album releases. Between new album releases and announcements, Royals will be entertained for the rest of the year! 

While we are still coming off the summer season, new artists have emerged and grown their platforms. Some smaller artists have grown with their recent releases or even through their music going viral on TikTok. Bella Vallejo ‘26 says, “I’ve been listening to Olivia Dean’s new songs and I’m super excited about her new album coming out on Sept. 26.” Olivia Dean’s new album “The Art of Loving” will be released in just a few weeks on Sept. 26.

Along with Olivia Dean’s upcoming release, several artists have been able to share new music during August and September. Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend,” Conan Gray’s “Wishbone” and Hayley William’s “Ego Death At a Bachelorette Party” are all albums that have recently come out. Most recently, Sabrina Carpenter’s album came out and has already hit the charts. Each album has found successes and had they released been earlier, may have featured some contenders for the song of the summer. 

For those not in the know, Taylor Swift recently announced her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” out Oct. 3. Ella Baroldi ‘26 and I will be waiting until October, when we can listen to the album. Baroldi says, “I cannot wait for Taylor Swift’s new album. I’m literally so excited!” I can’t agree more, but until then, we will continue to listen to other new music. 

Some artists with upcoming albums are Ed Sheran on Sept. 12, Cardi B on Sept. 19 and Hardy on Sept. 26. Ava Lopez ‘27 adds to the list, saying, “I am looking forward to Drake’s new album later this year.” It is hard to keep track of each new album artists are releasing, but they will keep us entertained throughout the year. Each album will give songs for every occasion and guide us through our ups and downs of the year. Waiting for new music is the most exciting period because you do not know what to expect but will listen without hesitation each time. Comment any new music you are excited listen to this year!
