On Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, the Royals spent their lunch time meeting and connecting with their big and little sisters. This was the day when freshmen and juniors got to meet each other for the first time and discover who they’d been paired up with. Sophomores and seniors got to reconnect, learning more about each other and sharing a sweet treat.
Before being paired up, Royals fill out a form expressing their interests. Once the Royals get paired up with their little sisters as freshmen, they stay with their big sisters until sophomore year. Once the big sister graduates and the little sister enters their junior year, they are upgraded to a big sister and paired with a freshman. This is such a sweet tradition, Rosary has kept up for years.

During the big and little sister lunch, some of these Royals gave their insight on what this event means to them.
Emma Celio ’28 explained, “My big sisters [Addie Hansen ’26 and Sophia Fletchall ’26] are amazing and sweet. I always feel welcome when we have get-togethers. There always open to conversation and always open to conversation and always enjoying hearing fun stories.”
Jackie Gonzalez ’26 said, “I loved seeing my little sister after a year. We got to reunite.”

Sophia Fletchall shared, “I love spending time with my little sister [Emma Celio] at lunch. I love that we get a chance to talk to underclassmen. I’m looking forward to the next time I get to meet up with my little sister.”
Alexis Sypinero ’28 said, “I love talking to my big sister [Lauren Marvray ’26]! She is so kind and nice to me. I loved spending lunch with her.”
Everyone had a blast at the big and little sister lunch.
Our next big and little sister event is on Wednesday, Nov. 19th. It’s a split lunch, including Adoration to the mix. Get excited for the next time we meet again!
