Football season has officially kicked off! We know that the Friars love to go all out with the theme, but sometimes, the Royals prefer a cuter, more stylish take on the themes. To tackle this season in a fashionable way, I have taken it upon myself to compile a helpful article about what Royals can wear to the games. Keep reading for some great outfit inspiration for the next game.
Sept. 5: Beach
The Asylum recently changed this theme from Christmas to beach! Time for those Hawaiian shirts, tropical colors and leis. Sophomore Victoria Gonzalez shared what she would wear: “I would wear my yellow t-shirt with light wash jeans and one of my dad’s Hawaiian button-down shirts.” This outfit sounds perfect for the beach theme!
Sept. 12: Fourth of July
Red, white and blue colored clothes are the obvious option. A red or white top with blue jeans would look so cute. This would also be the perfect game to put on some face glitter if you’re feeling like it. Bella Vallejo ’26 gave us some insight into what she’s thinking of wearing to this game: “I would probably wear a red shirt and a USA hat.” Vallejo also suggested a red, white or blue bandana to match!
Sept. 26: Frat
Think backwards hats and button-down shirts for this game. Senior Michaela Watson gave some inspiration for this theme: “If I was really going in theme, I’d probably wear my khaki shorts, an oversized tee, high tops and a baseball cap. Depending on how I’m feeling, I could switch out the tee for a cuter top, so there are lot of different options to dress it up or down.” There is definitely a variety of options for this game, so go with whatever you like best!
Oct. 3: Camo
The idea here is dark colors: dark green, grey, brown and black. Pairing black jeans with a dark green top could make for a great outfit. Gonzalez shares her opinion again explaining, “I would wear my dark green jeans with a black shirt and some gold glitter on my face.” Face glitter is always a good option for football games.

Oct. 10: Black Out
Vallejo said it best: “Black on black, and don’t forget eye black!” Any combination of black clothes would fit right it: black leggings, black jeans, black tank or black shirt. This theme is perfect because it is easy to dress to and goes along with Servite’s school colors.
Oct. 18: Pro Dress
For those of you who don’t know, pro dress is Servite’s version of formal uniform: a white button-down shirt, black pants and a black tie. Not many girls try to really dress to this theme, but a white top and black leggings could look cute and still match the theme. Otherwise, any Servite gear will always fit right in. Junior Micaela Fonseca shared, “For the pro dress game, I would wear as much Servite gear as possible, and I would make sure to stay away from any red.” Thanks for that reminder: maybe save your red for another day.
Oct. 24: Pink Out
While many people might not have pink bottoms, a pink top with pink accessories will look super cute. Watson describes a quick preview of what her outfit might look like on game day: “I’d probably wear jeans, a pink top and a pink bow in my hair!” I think accessories are a must for this theme: bows, bandanas or anything else you have.

Oct. 31: Halloween Costumes
There is no better theme for this day. If you want to dress up, this would be a great game to match with friends. Fonseca shares her opinion saying, “For the Halloween game, I would just have fun with it. If I don’t feel like planning something, I would just wear Halloween colors for the spooky vibes.” You can’t go wrong with Halloween colors for this game.
Seeing everyone in their themed outfits makes the games much better, but don’t feel obligated to follow the themes. Chloe Ryan ’27 gave some great options for when you choose not to go with the theme: “When girls go to football games and don’t feel like dressing in theme, they can always wear something comfy like a warm hoodie and sweats or something cuter like leggings and a shirt!” Anything Servite—Servite hoodies, jackets or shirts—is always plan B when you have nothing to wear. Please don’t forget to follow the dress code, including no short skirts or shorts or revealing tops. Make sure to check your email for the full dress code. See you next Friday!
