The school year is coming to a close, and there is less than a month left! As finals are quickly approaching, there are many “lasts” on campus, including our final Mass, school-wide assembly and more. This past Tuesday, the Recognition Assembly took place in the Karcher Center. This assembly honors Freshmen-Junior athletes, Club of the Year, announces Teacher of the Year and recognizes excellence across campus. Throughout the assembly, Royals were able to celebrate and congratulate each other’s accomplishments. As we say goodbye to the Class of 2025, this assembly was a great way to begin wrapping up the school year!
During the assembly, one club was chosen for Club of the Year that represents the Rosary values and achieved greatness during the school year. This year, Rosary’s Model UN was chosen to receive this award. Model UN, led by Tahlia Jain ‘26 and moderated by Mrs. Ward and Ms. Kelly, had an outstanding year. They earned several awards at different conferences, and even hosted the first ever Model UN conference at Rosary. Jain shares, “I’m so happy MUN won Club of the Year! All the girls in the club plus Mrs. Ward and Ms. Kelly have put in so much effort to make our conferences and fundraisers a success.”
Both Mrs. Ward and Ms. Kelly have worked hard all year to make sure Model UN achieved new success and made school history. Jain also comments, “On top of that, everyone in MUN prepares for and attends conferences, making an effort to learn about global issues.” The MUN club has many high-achieving members who all contributed to the club’s success this year. Some of the members include: Christina Vaughan ‘26, Grace Raskopf ‘25 and Olivia Perez ‘27.
When asked about receiving her award, Jain shares, “Being chosen as Club of the Year is a testament to the dedication of everyone in the club; participation in MUN is completely optional, so it’s always nice to see a payoff for all the time invested!”

Another tradition in the assembly is recognizing the Teacher of the Year, voted on by the students. It was announced that Ms. D’Alba, who teaches Peace & Justice and Comparative Religions for seniors, received the award this year. When asked about receiving this award, Ms. D’Alba shares, “Receiving Teacher of the Year isn’t just an award—it’s a reflection of the hearts and minds I’ve been blessed to walk with.” Her class definitely is marked a favorite by many seniors and has made a positive impact on their year. Ms. D’Alba also notes, “As a Rosary Academy religion teacher, it means knowing that my students feel seen, challenged and loved academically and spiritually. This honor isn’t about me but the sacred trust they place in me daily to guide them closer to truth, purpose and Christ.” This honor shows how hard and passionate Ms. D’Alba is about her classes and how much her students appreciate her. As we close out the year, this marks a great accomplishment for Ms. D’Alba and her students!
This assembly did not just celebrate teachers and clubs, though–it celebrated some of Rosary’s high-achieving scholars, ASB program, PAL and Campus Ministry. Several awards were given out to Freshmen-Junior student athletes for their accomplishments and reception of scholarships. The end of the school year closes out many successful chapters from this school year and new Rosary accomplishments. During the next weeks, we will officially wrap up the year with graduation and welcome the Class of 2026 as the next graduating class.
