Rosary Academy’s swim team concluded their remarkable season at CIF, marking the end of a journey filled with dedication, teamwork and triumph. Under the guidance of Coach Adam Harita, the Royals not only showcased their talent but also won the league title, showing their dominance in the pool throughout the season. The league victory just goes to show each swimmer’s hard work and commitment, as well as the strategic coaching of Coach Harita. From early morning practices to intense training sessions, the team consistently pushed themselves to improve and achieve their goals. Their efforts culminated in an undefeated league record, securing their place as champions.
As the season drew to a close at the CIF championships, the Royals carried with them the pride of their accomplishments and the lessons learned along the way. While the competition was fierce, the team remained focused and determined, delivering impressive performances that reflected their growth and resilience. The memories and bonds created throughout the season will last a lifetime, shaping these young athletes both in and out of the pool.
Competitor Olivia O’Day ’26 says CIF was “a really cool experience that I would not think I would get to have. If you told me freshman year I was going be at CIF for all 4 of my events, I would flip.”
Royals managed to face each obstacle head-on, showing determination and skill. The Royals’ success was not solely attributed to individual talent but also to their ability to work together as a team. They supported and motivated one another, celebrating each other’s achievements and providing encouragement to each other during setbacks. This strong bond of friendship and mutual respect created a positive atmosphere that makes them what they truly are: a family.

SeniorĀ Maddie Ekstrom spoke on her experience at CIF and and how she dealt with the pressure of the competition: “CIF was super fun but also really stressful. It was a lot of sitting around and waiting for our races to start, then racing and repeating that process. My favorite memory from the meet was eating Chick-fil-A right before my race with everyone, even though I knew it would not make me feel good. My favorite part about being on this team is getting to hang out with everyone between our races.” Royal brunch bonding always helps with nerves!
Throughout the season, the Royals have been able to excel in many different events. From freestyle sprints to challenging butterfly races, each swimmer contributed their unique skills and strengths to the team’s overall performance. Their league victory and strong showing at the CIF championships are a testament to their hard work, teamwork and the exceptional leadership of Coach Adam Harita. The memories and experiences gained throughout the season serve as valuable lessons as they move forward in life.
JuniorĀ Savannah Minton ’26 spoke on how proud she was to see her teammates compete: “It was so exciting to see my teammates go to CIF! These girls worked so hard, everyone was so excited for them.”
The team’s success has created a legacy of excellence that will continue to motivate future Royals. They have left a huge mark on the school’s athletic program. As they look ahead, the team is determined to build upon their success and continue to strive for greatness in the years to come. Congratulations to everyone on the Rosary swim team!
