Hey, alumnae and aeniors! If you have been missing your time at Rosary, come to the Alumnae Social here at Rosary on June 6. This social will be filled with reminiscing, laughter and celebration. Rosary is having its 60th Anniversary this year, and the Alumni Association wanted to make sure every Alumnae could come back and celebrate the school.
Rosary Academy has 55 graduating classes, which will become 56 after the Class of 2025 graduates next week. This event would be a perfect way to come back to Rosary and look back on the past!
When asked about the event, Alumnae Association President Nina Valencia ’95 shared, “We wanted to give every alumna the opportunity to celebrate Rosary’s 60th anniversary. In case alumnae were not available for our Gala Celebration on Sept. 13, our June social is a more casual event here on school grounds. It will be great to spend time with both past teachers and classmates reminiscing about the good ol’ days!”
I contacted Mrs. Nikki Pontius ’03 who is also helping put this event together. When asked about the event, she had so much to share: “I am most excited about having our alumnae back on campus to celebrate our anniversary year. It will be a great opportunity for alumnae of all ages to share memories and spend time together. It will also be fun to see some of our past teachers who had such an impact on our high school years.”
Mrs. Pontius encourages alumnae to return: “Alumnae should come for a nice casual night on campus, full of shared memories and laughter. So many of us truly understand the lasting impact Rosary had on our lives, and we don’t always acknowledge that until we have been gone for many years. Come to the social, and we can thank our teachers and one another for the magic of Rosary, which we were so lucky to experience!”
Speaking of teachers who are coming back, we will be seeing our very own Ms. Cole and Ms. LaBonte; others coming back to Rosary include Sr. Jo Ann Tabor, Mr. Powers, Mrs. Horne and Mr. Bevins.
