As I reflect on my time here at Rosary, the core value of sisterhood is one I hold particularly close to my heart. Throughout my four years here, I have created life-long friendships that have taught me the importance of love, trust and compassion. When graduation finally arrives I will be sad, but I take comfort in knowing that it is not the end of our journey.
Similar to many other Royals, I first came to Rosary shy and reserved. However, once I found my people, I found myself as well. My best friends, seniors Savina Padilla, Kate Piper, Avery Rabago and Nahomi Saito, have added so much joy and laughter to my life.
This senior year especially, the five of us have made unforgettable memories that we will still be laughing about in 20 years. Homecoming, Halloween, Winter Formal, Red & Gold and Prom include some of the highlights of our year. From trying new coffee shops and having lunch to having sleepovers and simply enjoying each other’s company, I will never take memories we create outside of school for granted.
Looking back at this school year, I am so grateful for all I have experienced with my friends. While friendships are not always perfect, they are so valuable and important.
High school is a critical time to learn and have new experiences; remember, it is okay to make new friendships and reach out to different people. Nahomi says, “Getting close to new people my senior year has been one of my highlights. I have made so many new connections and friendships this year that I wish I had in the past four years.”
Rosary teachers also understand the significance of friendship as they observe them in the classroom every day. Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Ward, added, “Always be true to yourself. Although you have heard it many times before, it can be hard to remember through high school. Also, remember that you are responsible for your own happiness, as it is not reliant on the actions of others.”

It goes without saying that if not for Rosary, we would have never found each other. This school fosters an environment that allows its students to thrive and create strong bonds, and I thank God for placing these girls in my life when I needed them most.
Remember to embrace the people around you, especially throughout high school. Rosary is a special place where you are surrounded by people who support you and want the best for you always.
