It’s been quite the year for many Royals across all grade levels. Personally, this year closed off what a lot of people call the most important year of high school: junior year. Looking back on some of my favorite memories from my junior year, I have compiled a list of my top 10 favorite moments from the school year.
- ASB elections
While this is probably something that is not usually a very notable part of the year for people, it was a pretty big part of my junior year. If you were to tell me in middle school that I was going to be an executive officer my senior year in high school, I might have not believed you. Thus, making it an incredible moment during my junior year.
- Winter Formal
At number nine, Winter Formal was a lot of fun! It was super cool to tour the aquarium with my friends, and I had a great time getting together with them before and after the dance.
- Mother Daughter Events
For this one, I put two events in one category: the Mother-Daughter Brunch and Mother-Daughter Retreat. Since my mom and I are always busy, it can be hard to find time to spend a long period of uninterrupted time with her, making these events extremely special for the both of us.

- Homecoming
Again, this was a dance with plenty of things going on. From the balloon guy to the fun ride, it was another great dance overall.
- Lacrosse season
From pre-season to league to the banquet, this lacrosse season was filled with fun moments and laughs. I am so grateful for everyone who helped make memories that I will hold onto forever.

- Prom
The variety of options at Prom was incredible. From video games to poker tables, this night was great! Like Winter Formal, I had another fun night with friends before and after the dance, which made it even better.
- Red and Gold Kickoff
Since I was on ASB this year, I got to experience the sleepover and the skit that announces the theme for Red and Gold. Having never done that before, it was a day that I will never forget.

- Kairos
I absolutely loved going on Kairos! I cannot wait until next year when I get to be a leader: it’s going to be amazing.
- Red & Gold performance weekend
This is definitely one of the top three experiences during any Royal’s time at Rosary. There is simply nothing like performance weekend.

- Rosary Day
As a junior and class officer, this day was even more exciting and special than it had been the past two years. I think the whole day turned out great, and, of course, Disneyland afterwards was such a fun experience!
Now, let’s see what other Royals had to say about this year. Senior Demi Totah shared, “My favorite event this year was Red & Gold because I got so much closer with so many of my friends.” Demi also enjoyed the practices during FLEX because it was a nice break in the day. Gold Pub Captain Parker Yee ’26 had a great time during Red & Gold because she loved “seeing all of our hard work come to life.”
Additionally, sophomore Terry Chung said that her favorite part of Rosary this year was Red & Gold performance weekend: “The competitive atmosphere of preparing for the show is fascinating and the more effort that is put in the show makes the memory so special. I cannot wait for next year!” Lastly, Emma Lugo ’28 explained how she really enjoyed the rallies this year because of “the interactive activities and skits that get everyone excited and cheering!”
All these great memories made for an amazing junior year full of unforgettable moments. I can’t wait to make more memories next year!
