This past Saturday, May 3, Rosary and Servite held their last dance of the school year at AV Irvine. That being said, Prom 2025, A Night Under the Lights, was an unforgettable experience for many students.
Juniors and Seniors have waited all year for what is believed to be the most important dance of one’s high school career. In preparation for this anticipated event, many Royals have spent the past few weeks (and even months) getting ready for prom: scheduling hair appointments, nail appointments and dress alterations.
Prior to Prom day, it was popular for many friends to get together and create their own flower bouquets that complimented the colors of their dress to hold in their pictures. Then, before students arrived at the dance itself, many enjoyed a nice dinner with lots of pictures and good conversation. Overall, all the Royals stunned with their beautiful dresses, shoes, hair and makeup.
Students began to arrive at the venue at around 7 p.m. and were quickly amazed by how beautiful it was and the number of activities that they could enjoy. From video games, blackjack, a photo area to of course, a dance floor with great music from the DJ, there was something for everyone at Prom.

Students also had the chance to vote for Prom queen and king at the dance. Around an hour before the dance was over, the whole Prom court went on stage and the Prom king and queen were announced as Jameson Valente ‘25 and Sophia Geronimo ‘25!
When asked how he felt about winning Prom king, Jameson said, “It felt great. Everyone wants to kiss the floor I walk on, and it was extra special that I got to share the moment with my girlfriend of three years.” Sophia shared the same excitement as her boyfriend stating, “It felt amazing to be Prom queen because every little girl wants to be a princess.”
Overall, Prom 2025 was a success, and we are so grateful to everyone who made it happen.
