Senior Marissa Valencia shares her favorite teacher memory from her first year with Mr. Basford: “My favorite part of Basford’s class was when he let us do karaoke in class if we paid attention and finished all of our work in class. My favorite song we sang was ‘Someday’ from the Disney movie ‘Zombies,'”
Sophomores Alina Valencia and Sarah Conley also had him as their Honors Algebra 1 teacher. We definitely agree with Valencia and all the fun memories made in his class.

Faculty and staff got treated to a breakfast on Tuesday. They had a delicious spread of bagels and fruits to make their breakfast enjoyable.

Alyssa Avina ’28 shares her favorite thing about her biology teacher Mrs. Grasz, saying, “I enjoy Mrs. Grasz’s class because I think she is a great teacher, and she is always super helpful. She’s very considerate, and I really appreciate everything she’s done for me and my class.“

On Wednesday, faculty and staff members got to have a sweet tooth as they ate some of their favorite sweet treats.
Thursday, May 8
Lastly, to end the appreciation week, our Royal families stocked the faculty lounge with our teacher’s/staff’s favorite snacks and goodies.

It may be Ms. Kelly’s first year as a history teacher, but she has already made a difference in many Royals’ lives. One sophomore in particular loves Ms. Kelly: Charlie Roman. She shared, “My favorite thing about Ms. Kelly is how kind she is. She is so easy to talk to, and she cares for all of us students, which helps make her class so enjoyable and fun.”
To all of our new teachers and staff at Rosary: We are so grateful you are a part of the Royal family. We hope we made your first year here memorable.
Even though Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week might be over, we should always make our staff feel loved! Next time you see one of your teachers be sure to thank them for all they do for our school!
