On Tuesday, April 29, Rosary held their annual honors night in the Karcher Center for the outstanding Royals who have worked very hard to make their grades the best possible this school year. Students were awarded either first honors or second honors depending on their GPAs. With their academic skill and dedication, these girls show the true meaning of Rosary Royal and set a good example for all students to work hard in school.
One student who received first honors was Michaela Watson ‘26. No matter what distractions she may come across, she always focuses on her education and spends a good chunk of her time studying hard for every quiz or test. Not only does she focus on her academics, but she is also a great example of a student athlete. She balances triathlon, taking almost all honor and AP classes, and being Miss Yorba Linda Teen with an immense amount of grace. On her accomplishments, Michaela expressed, “achieving first honors was definitely tough and takes a lot of work, but it was so worth being recognized for my academic accomplishments at honors night.”

Brooke Selinger ‘26, who received second honors, consistently goes to a classroom during lunch, showing her dedication to academics. Sharing her feelings upon receiving the award, Brooke stated, “receiving second honors made me feel good about myself. After such a difficult year, I pulled through to make sure I had the grades I wanted this year.” Beautifully stated! Even when schoolwork feels impossible, there is always a way to overcome these challenges.
Overall, we loved watching everyone get recognized for their hard work this 2024-2025 school year! Continue to work hard and achieve new goals; remember, being smart is cool. See you all next year!
