Royals have been awaiting this special night and many of them get to spend it with a date by their side. Before they get to dance the night away, however, a promposal had to take place. While a typical promposal includes a poster and flowers, a handful of guys choose to break out in song or set up a bigger promposal. Let’s see how some Royals got asked to Prom this year.
Junior Giselle Gomez got asked to Prom by her boyfriend, Conner Pelonis ’26, and shared that she thinks that it was “the best promposal ever.” Conner remembered how Giselle loves “Ten Things I Hate About You” and recreated the iconic scene in which a character sings “I Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.” Giselle also expressed her excitement for her first Prom saying, “He is the sweetest, and I can’t wait to have fun at Prom this weekend.” This promposal sounds amazing since it was so personalized to a movie she loves!
Olivia O’Day ’26 got asked in a way that was also very unique! Her date made up an elaborate story to make the promposal work. He picked Olivia up and told her that his passenger mirror was broken. When she went to open the visor, a string of pictures fell out, and the words “Will you be my passenger princess at Prom??” were taped on it. Olivia shared how the experience was incredibly unexpected saying, “I had no clue that he was asking me.” The element of surprise makes it even better. Overall, super cute and creative!
Alyssa McCreary ’25 got asked with an “Up” themed poster and balloons! Her poster was really cute with the words “Are you up for Prom?” written in a pretty font. Alyssa stated, “getting asked to Prom was such a fun surprise! I really liked my sign.” The star-shaped balloons were a great touch too! Other seniors who got asked include Ella Paniagua and Tyler Jackson. Ella received a Taco Bell-themed poster that said, “Prom would be a Baja Blast with you,” and the words “Donut say no to Prom” were written on Tyler’s donut-themed poster. Both were great asks since they came with a Baja Blast and donuts!
Even if you don’t have a date to Prom, going with your friends can be just as fun. See you at Prom!
