Throughout the years, many individuals have dedicated their time, resources, and care to help Rosary Academy reach its full potential. Among these supporters are the wonderful parents of numerous Royals. To foster this nurturing relationship, Rosary Academy proudly maintains an active parent council.
The Parent Council is a liaison between school administrators, teachers and parents. Similar to PTA (Parent Teacher Association) at public schools, the council is a current group of parents that support the school in fundraising, community engagement and involvement, and hosting events. A few of the events the Parent Council works on include Red Wine & Gold and Cracked Crab Dinner.
Two Rosary Alumnae, Cynthia Wade ’96 and Jennifer (Shirley) Liesheidt ’96, are both on the board for Parent Council. These ladies work on the board and strive to make our campus a better place. Both Cynthia and Jennifer enjoy being able to work on this board. “Rosary is a blessed community. The parents and guardians who send their daughters to Rosary share their blessings with the school community. They are involved and generous with their time and contributions,” says Cynthia.
When asked what her favorite part of being on Parent Council was, Jennifer answered, “Being on Parent Council has allowed me to get to know some amazing moms and dads. Working in collaboration with them for our daughters and Rosary Academy is fun and fulfilling. I love Rosary and I love sharing that love with both current and future Royal families as a parent ambassador.”
When asked the same question, Cynthia answers, “My favorite part of being on parent council is that I get to help with fun events like celebrating teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week and get to work on upcoming projects like Rosary’s 60-year anniversary. I get to be an ambassador and get to help with new families at Rosary,” Cynthia adds, “It is hands on way for other parents and me to support Rosary’s community”.

The Parent Council strives to provide opportunities for all Rosary parents to get involved with the school and actively participate in bettering the school. They encourage all parents, mothers and fathers, to come and join this awesome board of parents. We hope to see more parents join in the future!
