Easter is a time of celebration; as Catholics, this holiday holds special importance to our faith. In the secular celebration of Easter, however, we also go Easter egg hunting. Thus, let’s see which ones are really worth the hunt this Easter.
Peeps: In my opinion, I think these are the best easter sweets. They are chick-shaped marshmallows covered in sugar. I can’t tell if they are my favorite because they come in cute colors or because they are actually good, but either way, they’re definitely one of the most iconic treats of the Easter season, 10/10.
Jellybeans: Highly controversial and for good reason. Jellybeans are definitely an acquired taste (and texture), and I personally wouldn’t reach for them. Royal Diana Penaloza ’26 has a similar take, stating, “I don’t like jellybeans, I’d rate it a 0/10; maybe a 2/10 to be nice.” My rating would roughly the same! Jellybeans get a 3/10 in my book.
Chocolate Bunnies: Honestly, who doesn’t like these? I’ve always found them so cute and a fun way to spice up any Easter basket. Plus, it’s hard to go wrong with chocolate, 8/10. Senior Marisol Reza says these are “Pretty good, I love chocolate. I’d give it a 8/10, too.”
Malted egg balls: To say I love these pastel egg candies is an understatement. The perfect combination of crunchy and sweet, I could tear up box of these almost immediately; thus, my personal rating is a 10/10.

Reese’s peanut easter eggs: While I’ve never tried the egg-shaped Reese’s, I love Reese’s candies, and I’ve heard such good things about the eggs that I’d assume they would be good. On her love for Reese’s egg, Belen Santiago ’26 stated, “These are actually my favorite chocolates I love them so much; I’d rate them a 9/10.”
