This Wednesday, the lacrosse team had their senior night at Hydraflow field. They came out with a big win against Irvine High School for the seniors’ big night. Seniors Demi Totah, Kayla Trevino, Angelina Avalos, Mikayla Purwadi and Marissa Valencia were all celebrated for their dedication to the lacrosse team at Rosary.
Senior night for all sports at Rosary is a special occasion that celebrates the dedication and achievements of the graduating players. This event not only marks the culmination of their hard work and commitment to the sport but also honors the memories created on and off the field. Friends, family and teammates come together to recognize the seniors. They share heartfelt moments, and reflect on the journey they’ve taken throughout their high school years. It’s a night filled with emotion as these athletes prepare to take their next steps, leaving a lasting legacy in their lacrosse program.
Many younger class women are so sad to see these seniors go. They have shared so many amazing memories with these girls. Junior Maddie Nero shared, “I love these seniors so much. They have become some of my best friends. The lacrosse team will not be the same without them. Senior night is an amazing way to celebrate these girls.” Madelyn Girgis ‘27 added, “They always bring up my mood when I need it. I will probably cry without them at practice.”

Senior Demi Totah reflected on her time with the Rosary lacrosse team. She exclaimed, “We had an amazing time at senior night! From the speeches to the posters, the underclassmen did a phenomenal job commemorating the seniors. We all had a great time celebrating how far we’ve come not only as students but as athletes. I love the team so much. We have really gotten so close. Next year will not be the same getting to be teammates with all these girls anymore.”
The final home game on the lacrosse season is Wednesday, April 16 at Hydraflow Field. Come out and support the team as they finish out their season!
