The perfect landscape for some early morning yoga.
This week, senior exit interviews are taking place, meaning two extra late start days! Senior exit interviews are mandatory for graduation and help prepare seniors for future job interviews. During these days, teachers are unavailable in the morning because they are conducting interviews. Whether you’re like senior Savina Padilla and use that extra time to scroll on TikTok, or choose to catch up on sleep, here are 10 ideas on what to do on late start days:
- Wake up extra early and do yoga on the Rosary lawn. I think this would be very peaceful considering our lawn is quite big and filled with plants: “I’ve always wanted to do yoga, and I think doing it on the lawn would be really nice,” senior Ava Barretto shares.
- Cook up an entire breakfast buffet for the faculty and staff. Considering all their hard work and dedication, the Rosary faculty and staff would definitely enjoy this.
- Mow the Rosary lawn. I think it needs a little bit of cleanup and this could help our landscapers.
- Create a valet service for the faculty and staff. Teachers would no longer have to worry about having to look for a parking spot!
- Direct traffic on Acacia: I think Acacia needs all the help it can get.
- Teach Rosary students how to park in the parking lot. No shade, but some of the Rosary girls definitely need all the help they can get when it comes to parking.
- Deep clean the entire campus because some classrooms could definitely use it.
- Clean all the Rosary vans. Considering all the different sports that use the vans, there’s definitely a lot of dirt in these vans, so a car wash and some TLC would be nice.
- Repaint the parking spots in the parking lot. Maybe it’s the bad parking, but the lines in the parking lot seem to confuse a lot of girls.

We are blessed with iced coffee in the cafeteria, but I think some variety would be nice and definitely reduce the number of tardies in a day. Chelsea Beltran ’25 shares, “I’m definitely guilty of being late because I prioritize coffee, so this would be a great addition to campus.”
Make the most of your late start days, as they usually only come once a week. Consider trying out some of these ideas!
