As the 2024-25 school year comes to a close, we have a new executive ASB board coming in to help lead Royals through the 2025-2026 school year. Our executive president, vice president, secretary and tresurer all play crucial roles as representatives of our student body. Congratulations to our executive board, Bella Ramirez ’26, Alexis Perez ’27, Brooke Selinger ’26 and Sophie Figueroa ’26. To get to know our new executive board better, we asked them a couple of questions:
Being on the ASB executive board has many responsibilities, so I asked Bella Ramirez what she’s looking forward to about being Executive President. She told me, “I am really looking forward to being on ASB next year because I absolutely loved it this year. I’m excited to see what next year brings, and of course, I’m super excited to be on White Team. As Executive President, I’m ready to lead the school and make it the best year yet!” While Executive President has its many duties, Bella seems ready to take on the job.
As an ASB executive officer, our board also has the chance to make changes in the new year. On what change she would like to make to further improve our school, Sophie Figueroa shared, “One change I would like to make in the new year is adding more FLEX office hours. By allowing students to take time during school hours to discuss with teachers and be productive, an immense amount of stress is lifted off their shoulders, ultimately making school an enjoyable environment that they know they can thrive in.” Having more FLEX hours would definitely help Royals be more productive and communicate with teachers in classes they might need help with. Brooke Selinger, newly elected Executive Secretary, added, “Next year, I hope we can have more spirit dress days and possibly more activities at lunch. I can’t wait to be a part of this amazing team!”

Taking on a new role can be challenging and even intimidating at times. To ease the transition, we asked our current ASB Executive President, Marissa Valencia ’25, if she had any advice for next year’s board. Valencia advises, “To all the girls on the new board, make the most of your time together, it really is so fun being together. Don’t be afraid to ask for some crazy things, cause the worst you can hear is no, but you might hear a yes! And you might not know this yet, but girls do look up to you and how you do as an exec member and just always support those around you.”
Congratulations again to the new executive board for the 2025-2026 school year! I’m sure next year will be prosperous under your guidance and leadership.
